Overview:

Youth Days is a webcomic set in a far-flung future where the global economy and geopolitics are unrecognizable. The story takes place in the super-nation of Koriguo, a vast territory encompassing what was once Japan, China, the two Koreas, Hong Kong, Macau, the Okinawa Islands, and Taiwan.

This is a world of immense diversity, populated by numerous races and species: Humans make up 55% of the population. Doubujin, anthropomorphic mammalian beings, form 35%. Human-Doubujin Hybrids, the offspring of Humans and Doubujin, account for 8%. The remaining 2% consists of Androids, Aliens, and Alien-Human or Alien-Doubujin Hybrids.

The story begins in this seemingly utopian world, seen through the eyes of a young man from the 21st century who finds himself amidst its staggering socio-technological-cultural advances.

Races:

Youth Days has six major races: Humans, Doubujin, Human-Doubujin Hybrids, Androids, Aliens and Human/Doubujin-Alien Hybrids.

Humans: The foundational species of society, humans now constitute 55% of the global population. They form the bedrock of the world's cultural and historical identity.

Doubujins: Making up 35% of the population, Doubujin are anthropomorphic, mammalian beings. While they possess physical traits and heightened senses (like superior hearing or smell) that can surpass human capabilities, they do not possess primal hunter-prey instincts, allowing for seamless integration into society.

Human-Doubujin Hybrids: The offspring of humans and Doubujin, these hybrids account for 8% of the population. Their appearance is typically human, but they inherit distinctive animal traits like ears and a tail from their Doubujin parent. They often possess the same enhanced abilities as Doubujin, albeit in a weaker form.

Androids: This group represents a fraction of the population. They are highly advanced robots whose artificial intelligence and consciousness are so sophisticated that they are widely considered to be living beings.

Aliens: Extraterrestrial beings on Earth for a multitude of reasons—including politics, business, tourism, a simple fondness for the planet, or as refugees from interstellar conflicts.

Human/Doubujin-Alien Hybrids: There is no standard appearance for these hybrids. Their physical characteristics are entirely dependent on the alien species involved in their ancestry, making them the most varied and unpredictable group.

I have been an artist for about ten years, beginning seriously at the age of 15. The first anime I ever watched was Dragon Ball. I decided to start drawing after being inspired by the works of Toriyama-Sensei and other great authors.

My motivation for creating "Youth Days" came after experiencing my university life, alongside various personal experiences and feelings of uncertainty about the future. Although my art and writing were not good back then, they were the first step in planting the seed for this project. That is why I decided to create a comic to express the emotions and adventures that the characters will live through—characters that feel as human as we do.

Nowadays, I work at a local university in the administrative department, while simultaneously pursuing my art and personal projects.
